JOB SUMMARY:
We are looking for an Amazon Account Manager to join our Ecommerce Sales team for a contract role covering a maternity leave. You will be responsible to drive the online sales, strategy and customer relationship across Amazon.com for PepsiCo’s SodaStream portfolio in the US and Canada. The role will be reporting into the SodaStream North America Business Unit while also working closely with the broader Global PepsiCo Digital Commerce Team (250 associates across offices in Manhattan, Chicago, Plano and Silicon Valley).
This role will own the relationship with Amazon to grow share of online sales through SodaStream’s evolving and disruptive digital capabilities. Amazon represents a critical SodaStream customer to partner and win globally.
You’ll be working with the globally recognized SodaStream portfolio, the number #1 sparkling water brand in the world. Your primary focus will be driving Amazon.com assortment strategy, creating promotional strategies and optimizing go to market all while helping to deliver on SodaStream’s global sustainability goal of reducing millions of plastic bottles
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Own and develop the Amazon.com Vendor Manager relationship
- Influence and communicate to senior leadership leveraging data and analytics
- Develop and execute the annual operating plan, through portfolio and promotional management
- Work with Marketing to optimize digital marketing deployment and present quarterly growth strategies to drive business sales and market share growth
- Efficiently manage across key stakeholders in finance, supply chain/operations, marketing, and commercialization in order to prioritize key projects and programs required to accelerate growth
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
EXPERIENCE & EXPERTISE REQUIREMENTS:
Competencies required for the position:
· Proven account management experience - Amazon experience required
· Creativity – as evidenced by a track record of finding feasible solutions to complex problems, especially in an environment with incomplete information and tight timelines
· Cross Functional Leadership- ability to work with partners across Supply Chain, Marketing and Finance in capacities ranging from customer planning, sale/ inventory forecasting and performance marketing budgeting
· Communication Skills – competency to educate and influence SodaStream leadership teams to act in the best interest of internal and external stakeholders. Projects include communicating the impact of Prime Day and Holiday deals on the P&L, developing a business case to increase customer trade and promotional budgets and communicating opportunities to commercialize new products
· Business Courage – as evidenced by the ability to maintain a positive attitude when faced with obstacles and the willingness to develop alternative approaches to overcome them
· Bias For Action – as evidenced by a track record of taking decisions in to drive the interests of the business while still maintaining the highest levels of rigor and compliance
Qualifications/Requirements:
· Proven account management success–eCommerce F&B and/or Small Kitchen Appliance Account Management experience strongly preferred
· Bachelor’s degree in business or related field/equivalent experience required. MBA preferred
· Significant knowledge of digital/online space - Experience in an eCommerce environment strongly preferred
· History leading cross-functional teams, project coordination and relentless follow up
· Experience with the development of the strategic business plan, annual operating plan tools and execution tactics; channel strategy development preferred, not required
The expected compensation range for this position is between $75,000 - $125,000 per year.
Confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary.
