IT Business Analyst I

Overview

The IT Business Analyst position plays a key role in the helping the organization implement technology solutions in a cost-effective way by determining the requirements of a project or program and communicating them clearly to stakeholders, facilitators and partners.  This role will ensure that the right technology solutions are in place to continuously improve and/or transform operational efficiency.

Essential Job Functions

• Define, analyze and document needs and requirements
  • Assist with the business case
  • Plan and monitor
  • Elicit requirements
  • Organize requirements
  • Translate and simplify requirements
  • Requirements management and communication
  • Requirements analysis

• Ensure business reporting needs are met

• Drive the design or review of test cases and process change requests
• Manage the scope and acceptance of projects
• Assist with recording, identifying and resolved issues, change request or presumed defects to ensure quality and functionality.
• Other duties as assigned

Desired Qualifications

• A combination of education and experience generally equivalent to a bachelor’s degree
• Knowledge and experience using six sigma techniques or other techniques to drive process improvement a plus.
• Business case management
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong organizational and customer service skills
• Beginning experience in project management
• Technology and communication skills
• Developing skills working with Senior decision makers
