Job Description Summary
The Senior Manager of NA Regional Applications oversees a portfolio of regional business applications supporting North America operations. This role focuses on managing application teams, driving enhancements, and ensuring the scalability, reliability, and security of application solutions. The position serves as a bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders, fostering collaboration and innovation. The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, and details oriented with experience working in a complex software environment.
Job Description
Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for building and maintaining a team of developers and analysts to support mainframe application development (related to plant operations) and testing capabilities to support the NA regional environment
- Manage the delivery and support of applications within assigned portfolios, ensuring alignment with business objectives and technical standards.
- Drive innovation by adopting emerging technologies and modernizing legacy applications to meet evolving business needs.
- Manages all aspects of vendors related to support of key objectives including sourcing, onboarding, guiding, budgeting, and escalations
- Drive the retirement and decommissioning of redundant or obsolete regional applications, thus reducing our technical debt
- Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and prioritize enhancements that address business challenges and opportunities.
- Develop governance practices to ensure compliance, consistency, and security across application portfolios.
- Monitor application performance, resolving issues proactively to minimize downtime and impact on business operations.
- Coordinate with IT infrastructure and platform teams to ensure seamless integration of applications with regional systems.
- Manage vendor relationships, contracts, and service-level agreements (SLAs) for application support and development.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to application teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Prepare and present reports on application performance, risks, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership.
- Creates strategic alignment of operational processes and projects in the NA region throughout Lamb Weston including any participating joint ventures.
- Builds a capability in process improvement and operational excellence leveraging resources across the application teams to improve the quality, consistency, and efficiency of service outcomes
- Drives the team to design systems & tools that will detect, diagnose, remedy and report the service quality of complex business transactions to ensure that they meet or exceed business performance measures
- Manage after-hours on-call process and incident management
Basic & Preferred Qualifications
Position Requirements: (Minimum qualifications required to successfully perform the job or be considered)
Education/ Certifications: (Required & Preferred)
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
Advanced degree (MBA or MS in Technology Management) preferred. - ITIL Foundation, PMP, or similar certifications preferred.
- Certifications in relevant application platforms or tools are desirable.
Skills and Experience:
- 8+ years of experience in application management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven expertise in managing enterprise or regional applications, including cloud-based and on-premise solutions.
- Extensive experience in collaborating with business stakeholders to define requirements and deliver impactful solutions.
- Demonstrated success in managing teams, budgets, and vendor relationships within application portfolios.
- Advanced knowledge of application management practices, including governance, security, and lifecycle management.
- Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a focus on fostering collaboration and innovation.
- Proficiency in IT governance frameworks, compliance standards, and vendor management.
- Analytical and problem-solving capabilities to address application challenges and drive continuous improvement.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to influence decisions and align priorities.
- Ability to adapt applications to evolving business requirements and emerging technology trends.
- Ability for up to 25% travel

A reasonable annual estimate of the range for this role based on the variables previously mentioned is: $138,750.00 - $208,120.00
