Business Operations Coordinator, Success Center
100% Remote within California, Must reside in California

We are seeking a Coordinator to join the Foundation in its mission of benefitting, supporting, and enhancing the California Community Colleges—the largest and most diverse system of higher education in the nation. What You’ll Do

Under the direction of the Business Operations Manager in the Success Center, the Program Coordinator is responsible for maintaining performance of operational and administrative duties in support of the Success Center.  The Program Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that all aspects of the administrative and operational support functions are completed timely and to the highest quality outputs.

  • Under general direction, administer program operations and administrative services including procurement, scheduling, event management, customer relation management, and daily activities. 
  • Support with the department’s contract processing, document management, and communication with contractors.
  • Facilitate effective communication sharing to enhance outreach and engagement, such as providing updates for Success Center website, creating visuals and graphics for monthly newsletters, hosting information sharing sessions, and utilizing tools such as Zoom or Teams.
  • Provide internal events support and coordination, which may include gathering venue information, catering services, accommodations, etc. and serving as point of contact between attendees and vendors.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and tracking expenses for vendors and associated contracts.
  • Maintain documents related to administrative and operational processes using MS Suites via OneDrive and SharePoint. Assist colleagues and other members of the Foundation in filing, storing, and retrieving documents using Microsoft suite.

As needed in office for in-person events approximately twice a year:

  • Preparation of Conference Rooms including set up and tear down of furniture, preparation of snacks and waters, and customer service to incoming participants.
  • Understand audio-visual equipment and be able to trouble shoot simple technology requests.

Attributes for Success

  • Minimum of two (2) + years of relevant work experience in administrative or coordinative support.
  • Any experience in an education or non-profit environment preferred.                         
  • Familiarity with the Community College system a plus.
  • Exemplary interpersonal skills, with the ability to represent the organization with professionalism and integrity and to develop, maintain, and promote strong internal and external relationships.
  • Proficient computer skills with demonstrated experience in Microsoft Office Suite (specifically MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams and Excel).
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • Superb organizational skills and the ability to quickly learn new systems for organization.

Budgeted Hourly Pay Range:

$24.00 - $26.00

Final salary and rates are based on education, experience, skills relevant to the role, and internal equity.
