About the project: 

As a Data Architect, you will lead the data platform selection and architecture design for one of our clients. This role involves evaluating and selecting the most suitable Data Lake and Analytics platform from leading cloud providers and designing an enterprise data platform that maximizes data utility and operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will not only excel in architectural design but also be hands-on, capable of executing the design and leading the team through changes effectively. You will play a critical role in transforming architectural plans into reality, ensuring seamless implementation and continuous improvement. 

You will be able to: 

  • Lead the selection process of the optimal Data Lake and Analytics solution that aligns with customer business needs.  
  • Collaborate to identify top key requirements for platform selection. 
  • Develop a comprehensive comparison (battlecard) of potential Data Lake and Analytics platforms. 
  • Architect and design the enterprise data platform to ensure seamless integration and interoperability with existing systems. 
  • Guide and mentor a team of data developers, ensuring technical excellence and efficient implementation of the selected platform. 
  • Participate in the configuration and setup of the chosen cloud environment. 

What will help you succeed in this role: 

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field. 
  • 5+ Years of experience in designing, configuring, and implementing major data platforms, including hands-on experience with at least two of the following: Salesforce DataCloud, Google BigQuery, AWS RedShift/Aurora, Snowflake, Azure Synapse into production environments. 
  • 5+ Years of experience working with data migration projects involving mainstream databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, DB2). 
  • 5+ Years of experience in data modeling for Data Warehouses or Data Lakes, building efficient data pipelines. Experience in the automation of data pipelines. Strong knowledge of data warehousing concepts, including star and snowflake schemas, dimensions, facts, slowly changing dimensions, and data marts. 
  • 3+ Years of experience with Python, particularly in data manipulation, scripting, and integration tasks. 
  • 3+ Years of experience with data security and privacy compliance. Deep understanding of data security and privacy best practices. 
  • Experience with major cloud technologies (AWS, GCP, Azure). 
  • Experience with data governance and establishing single sources of truth for enterprise data. 
  • Proven experience in leading a technical team of data engineers, providing guidance, and mentorship, and ensuring successful Enterprise Data project delivery. 
  • Expert in SQL and data modeling for complex enterprise environments. 
  • Real experience implementing and managing data catalogs to enhance data discoverability and metadata management. 
  • Proficiency in handling various data types (structured, semi-structured, unstructured, JSON, AVRO). 
  • Experience in source code control using Git. 
  • Understanding of diverse Data & Analytics architectures, including Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and Data Mesh. 
  • Advanced English Level is required for this role as you will work with US clients. Effective communication in English is essential to deliver the best solutions to our clients and expand your horizons.
