Job Description
***This position is open to a hybrid work schedule allowing work from home several days per week ***
Using provided high-level goals, designs electric master system plans, power systems, protection and generation models, facility power systems, and sustainability/renewable energy systems, ranging from basic to highly complex, to meet client project needs. Reviews draft designs to ensure they comply with federal, state, and local regulations, and signs off on final designs. Conducts power system studies and performs electrical calculations, including for lighting, communications, fire alarms, and security systems. Ensures all designs adhere to the firms policies and practices. Conducts site reviews as needed to ensure designs align with location specifications and updates requirements as necessary. Contributes to the firms technical knowledge by creating white papers and technical documentation on new or unique designs and studies. Submits technical papers and designs for publication in professional journals. Works with sales teams to develop proposals in response to client RFPs, reviewing drafts to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations. Engages with current and potential clients to discuss their design needs and attends conferences to enhance the firm's visibility alongside sales staff. Provides technical guidance and training to junior staff, mentoring them for future growth within the firm. May also supervise junior engineers on project work.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or Electrical Technology or related discipline.
Professional engineering (PE) license.
10 years of related experience.
Domestic and/or international travel may be required.
The frequency of travel is contingent on specific duties, responsibilities, and the essential functions of the position, which may vary depending on workload and project demands.
Equivalent additional directly related experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.

Skills and Abilities
Expert Knowledge of computer assisted design and drafting (CADD) 3D and 4D software and practices. Expert Knowledge of engineer principles of design. Expert Knowledge of Microsoft business software (excel, word, etc.). Excellent verbal and written communications skills. Expert knowledge of federal, state and local regulations.
