Join our Program Planning and EVMS organization and embark on a journey of professional growth and achievement!   We are looking for a seasoned Program Planning Tools Support and Development professional who has expert planning and scheduling knowledge, excels in data analysis, proactively seeks out and engages stakeholders, and facilitates closure of commitments. 

As a key member of our team, they will be providing tool, process, and training support to the program planning/scheduling and earned-value management team.  This position reports to the Mission Systems Earned-Value Excellence Manager.

What You Will Do

  • Act as a subject matter expert and advise program planners on the creation and maintenance of Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) that are compliant with government/customer and internal requirements.

  • Assist planner/schedulers in problem solving and issue resolution.

  • Provide development and maintenance of schedule and EVM-related tools/systems.

  • Interface with other organizations on tool/process change control boards.

  • Research alternative tools and coordinate changes with IT.

  • Generate and conduct user training on tools and process.

  • Create and update Process Maps and Work Instructions

  • Assist in onboarding new employees to the Earned-Value Excellence organization.

​Qualifications You Must Have

  • Must have minimally 10 years of professional experience performing scheduling/EVM an engineering/manufacturing environment (preferably DoD/aerospace); must have experience developing and maintaining EVMS or scheduling related tools/processes

  • Hands on experience to Subject Matter Expert level knowledge of Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel

  • Experience creating training documentation and providing process/tool user training and experience with the PMX and RPM Tool Suite

  • Typically requires a University Degree and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 14 years of relevant experience.

  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access the financial management system due to government contractual requirements.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Knowledge of the Earned Value Management System (EVMS) or similar business process and Risk and Opportunity Management

  • Familiar with applicable Government regulations, especially pertaining to program planning and Earned Value compliance.

  • Experience analyzing and querying schedule data (including Schedule Metrics).

  • Experience using numerous ancillary scheduling products such as Full Monte, @Rsk, OnePager…etc.

  • Conversant in basic product development principles including Agile software development.

The salary range for this role is 124,000 USD - 250,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
