What You’ll Do:
- Oversee global royalty netting process with affiliate offices.
- Manage intracompany Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and P&L accounts with affiliates across the globe as well as with other Sony entities.
- Record and manage lease entries for our United States and Canadian entities.
- Aid in the budget/forecast process especially when it comes to determining methodology and allocations.
- Liaison with other Sony entities to gather required information for budgeting and forecasting purposes.
- Prepare reporting analysis for senior management and department leaders on an as needed basis.
- Crosstrain to address departmental reporting as determined by business needs.
- Collaborate with other team members to address transitional projects and assess best practices.
Who You Are:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or equivalent experience required.
- Must possess sound understanding of generally accepted accounting practices.
- Proficient in the use of MS Excel with Power Automate, VBA, AI, and Power BI experience a plus.
- 3 or more years of early-career accounting experience.
- Must be aligned with Sony’s Values and Purpose.
- You are a highly organized person that pays very close attention to the details.
- You are thorough and thoughtful with your approach to problem-solving.
- You adapt quickly, easily reorganizing priorities to fit business needs, and perform with a high sense of urgency.
- A dedication to accuracy is key and necessary to ensure that all information is recorded correctly.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
- 7.5-hour business workday but variations in work volume may require extended working hours for evening and late-night events.
