As the Senior Manager, Strategic Partnerships & Business Development, you will be a key player in shaping the partnerships that fuel our growth and impact. You'll be part of a dynamic team that thrives on collaboration, creativity, and a shared commitment to making financial processes smoother for businesses. You will forge new strategic partnerships leveraging BILL's embedded AP & payments technology, expanding our ecosystem and contributing to our mission of creating a more connected and efficient financial world.

Key Areas of Responsibility

  • Strategic Partner Identification: Identify and cultivate strategic partners to integrate BILLs embedded accounts payable & payments platform
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product, engineering, marketing, finance, and other stakeholder teams to create joint go-to-market plans, build integrations, and drive deals from discovery to execution
  • Deal Support: Support negotiations, commercial structuring, joint GTM strategy, and execution of partnership agreements to drive business growth and create win-win scenarios
  • Partnership PMO: Drive multiple cross-functional internal and external work streams from inception to launch
  • Process Development: Create playbooks and processes to accelerate pipelines & streamline BD & GTM efforts
  • Relationship Building: Build relationships with partners and key stakeholders to foster a secure cross-functional buy in and unlock expansion opportunities
  • Leverage Data-Driven Insights: Utilize data and market trends to inform decision-making, refine strategies, and seize new opportunities.
  • Ecosystem Expansion: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and evaluate new markets, verticals, and channels for expansion, ensuring that BILL remains at the forefront of industry innovation.

We’d love to chat if you have:

  • 5+ years of success in business development or strategic partnerships within the fintech, technology, and/or payments sectors. SMB product/payments experience preferred.
  • Experience driving complex strategic partnerships from discovery to launch
  • Bias to Action: A driven self-starter who loves to jump in and execute at the highest level, balancing big picture strategy with attention to detail
  • Relationship Building: Exceptional interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and nurture relationships at all levels of an organization.
  • Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of the fintech landscape, APIs, and emerging market trends that drive innovation.
  • Tier 1 Deal Experience: Strong experience supporting complex negotiations, deal structuring, and partnership agreement execution.
  • Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
  • Collaborative Spirit: A team player who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable with Ambiguity: Adept at navigating white space and adapting strategies in a rapidly changing environment.

Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed below. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits. Zone 2- CA (Non San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles City), Austin TX, Massachusetts (Non Boston)
$155,400$194,700 USD
Zone 3 -Utah (includes Utah office), Houston TX, Florida, North Carolina
$146,700$183,900 USD
