POSITION SUMMARY: Reporting to the Supervisor, Systems Engineering, this position works in close collaboration with multiple engineering disciplines to support requirements and configuration management across multiple NuScale products. As part of the Systems Engineering team, this position will support product development teams and other systems engineers by performing requirements traceability and verification activities for various NuScale systems and components, supporting the development and management of system and equipment lists, developing and maintaining change artifacts (change requests, change notices), supporting impact assessments for proposed changes, and maintaining engineering procedures.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Work closely with lead Systems Engineers, engineering managers, supervisors, and design engineers to develop and maintain system and equipment lists in the ARAS Innovator PLM platform and a model-based systems engineering tool.
- Work closely with lead Systems Engineers, engineering managers, supervisors, and design engineers to analyze requirements, establish traceability, and define verification plans for the requirements.
- Support the change control process by performing impact assessments for proposed changes and developing and maintaining change artifacts.
- Support engineering procedure maintenance and continuous improvement.
- Produce Systems Engineering deliverables in accordance with company procedures and standards.
- Effectively communicate with other technical and non-technical disciplines.
- Performs other duties as assigned.

MINIMUM SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND ABILITIES:
- Education/Certification: A minimum of a B.S. degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited university required. Coursework in Industrial or Systems Engineering preferred.
- Experience: A minimum of 2 years of full-time working experience in engineering is required. Experience in Systems Engineering with demonstrated experience in model-based systems engineering preferred. Other required experience includes:
- Knowledge of systems engineering concepts, tools, techniques such as
- Requirements Engineering (i.e., elicitation, derivation, allocation, traceability, etc.)
- Verification and Validation (i.e., IEEE 1012)
- Model-based Systems Engineering (Sparx Enterprise Architect preferred or SysML preferred)
- Product Life-cycle management software (Aras Innovator preferred)
- Design/Gate Reviews
- Strong technical writing, communication, computer, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to be proactive and work with minimal direction once tasks are assigned and understood.
- Ability manage conflicting demands and priorities.
- Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Preferred Experience:
- CM2 Comprehensive, EIA-649, or similar configuration management certification.
- Experience working in a highly regulated environment.
- Experience in power generation or nuclear industries.
- Industry Requirements: Eligible to work under Department of Energy 10 CFR Part 810.

Pay and Benefits:
The target pay range for this position is $87,107 - $105,129 annually. The full pay range is $78,096 - $122,149.
