Position Summary
Reporting to the Director, Legal-Americas, Contracts Manager and playing a critical role in the overall management and success of the legal team, the Contracts Manager will assume ownership and accountability for ensuring accurate and compliant contract terms with customers and overall management of the contract workflow within the department.
Responsibilities
- Support a high-volume legal department in all matters including contract tracking, organization, corporate governance processes, due diligence and other duties as assigned
- Follow up on pending matters and answer general inquiries and provide standard templates.
- Manage processing of insurance requests and terms and conditions
- GDPR compliance updating
- Review and maintain all agreements in connection with contract management software
- Assist with maintenance of corporate records and filing of compliance documents, and any other legal matters requiring support
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve processes and drive implementation through multi-department collaboration and coordination
- Perform special projects and other duties as assigned as related to corporate governance, insurance, renewals, data privacy, litigation, board resolutions, maintaining corporate filings, officer lists, respond to discovery requests etc.
- Ensure prioritization and completion of high level or urgent legal matters.
- Participate in global initiatives, projects and reporting as required.
- Participate in internal/external audits as required.
- Facilitate and/or partner with team on special projects as assigned.
- Some travel is required (domestic and international).
Qualification
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree and paralegal or contracts manager certificate required
- Prior law firm or in house corporate experience desired as a corporate paralegal or contracts manager
- 10 years of contract review and negotiation experience
- Demonstrated experience in working independently to identify, analyze, and solve problems with creative solutions with minimal supervision
- Excellent writing and communication skills, ability to work well within a team environment, strong work ethic and understanding of legal needs and requirements
