Your Team:

You will join the Digital Enablement Team at Hollard, which manages and enhances a variety of digital assets, including Digital Portals, API integrations, Front-End Retail websites, and Customer Correspondence. This developer role will specifically focus on the Guidewire Digital Front-End Portals, Guidewires Producer Engage and Jutro (JDP).


Your Role:

As a Front End Engineer, you will play a critical role in developing and maintaining customer-facing digital portals that enable seamless user experiences and enhance business capabilities.

The key focus areas of this role are:

  • Design, develop, and maintain digital portals using Guidewire's Jutro (JDP) framework and Producer Engage, ensuring a seamless user experience across platforms.
  • Develop and implement front-end solutions with a strong base in JavaScript and React, ensuring high-quality, performant, and scalable solutions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, business analysts, and backend developers, to ensure portal functionality aligns with business requirements.
  • Explore and innovate within new and unfamiliar areas of Guidewire portals, proactively seeking solutions and deep diving into technical challenges with minimal guidance.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues within Guidewire portals, ensuring system stability and continuous improvement of the digital customer experience.


Your knowledge & experience

  • Must have demonstrated experience as a front-end developer, ideally within an insurance, financial services, or professional services environment.
  • Strong front-end development skills, particularly in JavaScript and React, with experience in building and maintaining large-scale, enterprise-grade applications is required.
  • Strong familiarity with Guidewire Jutro (JDP) framework and Producer Engage, with experience in customizations and feature development.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving technical issues within Guidewire portals is essential.
  • Solid understanding of front-end development principles, UI/UX design, and web application performance optimization.
  • Experience with agile methodologies, particularly Scrum, and working in fast-paced, iterative environments.
