TIG Risk Services is currently seeking a dedicated and licensed Private Investigator to join our esteemed team in the Santa Cruz area of California. This pivotal role involves conducting surveillance and investigations related to various claims, including worker’s compensation, auto liability, general liability, and both short and long-term disability claims. Our firm has built a strong reputation over 23 years of service to the insurance, government, and legal sectors, and we are looking for a candidate who shares our commitment to excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct extensive surveillance and activity checks for various claims.
  • Perform thorough background investigations.
  • Take detailed statements and execute scene inspections.
  • Document findings through comprehensive report writing.
  • Maintain the highest standards of professionalism and integrity throughout all investigations.

Required Skills

  • A minimum of two years of experience in surveillance operations.
  • Familiarity with Special Investigations Unit (SIU) functions, including taking statements and conducting scene inspections.
  • Exceptional report writing and verbal communication abilities.
  • Capability to perform both stationary and mobile surveillance in diverse environments, including high-crime areas.
  • Comfort with executing pretext investigations.

Qualifications

  • An active California Private Investigator License is mandatory.
  • Proven experience in surveillance and investigative methodologies.
