Job description

Job Overview

TIG Risk Services is seeking a dedicated and licensed Private Investigator based in the Berkeley area to conduct surveillance and investigative work related to worker’s compensation, auto liability, general liability, and both long and short-term disability claims. This role offers a competitive starting pay of $40+/hr and the opportunity to work with a reputable national investigative firm.

Key Responsibilities

Execute surveillance operations focused on various claims
Conduct thorough activity checks and background investigations
Collect statements and perform scene inspections as required
Compile detailed and accurate reports of findings and observations
Adapt investigative techniques to different environments, including challenging areas

Required Skills

A minimum of two years of experience in surveillance
Experience in Special Investigative Unit (SIU) functions, including taking statements and conducting inspections
Strong report writing and verbal communication abilities
Proficiency in performing both stationary and mobile surveillance
Comfort with engaging in pretext investigations
An active Private Investigator License in California is mandatory

Qualifications

Active PI License in California
At least two years of relevant surveillance experience
Familiarity with SIU-related tasks and effective report writing
Excellent verbal communication skills
