What’s in it for you?
Join a growing, market-leading organisation in a newly created position where you will take ownership of Android development in the business.
This is a work from home role, although bonus points if you are willing to relocate to Wollongong.
What you’ll be doing:
As part of a team of six developers, you will take ownership of Android development within the team, including architecting, developing, and maintaining a brand new native Android app to control DJI drones using the DJI Mobile SDK. Working in an Agile environment, you will be tasked with implementing communication to enable remote commands from a web app to the Android app.
You will work with other developers within the business to ensure seamless integrations. You will also be responsible for ensuring the quality of your code and writing clean, testable, reusable, and efficient code while following best software practices.
You will provide technical opinions on projects and bring new ideas and ways of doing things whilst contributing to architecture decisions and finding creative solutions to technical challenges.
Experience required:
You have at least five years of experience in Android development and have previously held a senior-level title. You have previously worked extensively with Kotlin, take pride in UI design, and have a strong understanding of MQTT messaging or similar communication protocols.
You are a strong communicator and have previously led projects where you have worked autonomously. You thrive in a dynamic, problem-solving environment and aren’t afraid to stand up for and communicate your ideas.
You will need to be based in Australia with full work rights. Work from home is available from anywhere in Australia, although bonus points if you are willing to relocate to Wollongong.
