Systems Administrator

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Remote Systems Administrator who will be responsible for managing and maintaining our organization's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will work remotely to ensure the smooth operation of our systems, networks, servers, and applications. This position requires strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain the organization's servers, networks, and systems to ensure optimal performance and security.

Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware and software components as needed.

Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades to ensure system stability and security.

Respond to and resolve technical issues and service requests in a timely manner.

Implement and maintain backup and disaster recovery solutions to protect data and ensure business continuity.

Evaluate and recommend technical solutions to improve system efficiency and performance.

Collaborate with other IT staff and departments to support various technology initiatives.

Create and maintain documentation related to system configurations, processes, and procedures.

Stay current with industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously improve systems and processes.

Provide technical support and guidance to end-users as needed.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.

Proven experience as a Systems Administrator or similar role.

Strong knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.

Experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Hyper-V).

Familiarity with networking concepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

Solid understanding of security best practices and procedures.

Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently and multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Relevant certifications (e.g., MCSE, CompTIA Server+) are a plus.
