Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be required to perform a various amount of duties including but not limited to the following:
Maintenance, calibration, development and installation of process control instrumentation.
Maintenance and configuration of programmable logic controllers
Local area networks and electronic instrumentation, including scales
Experience with troubleshooting and resolving machine breakdowns with minimal downtime of equipment.
Able to receive and interpret maintenance work orders and complete the task with the appropriate tools and documentations.
Accepts after hour emergency calls to repair defective plant electrical equipment outside the normal operating hours.
Performs daily tasks in accordance with safety regulations. .
Skills & Abilities
Must have an Inter-Provincial Red Seal certification as an Instrumentation Technician
5 years industrial maintenance experience would be an asset
Previous safety training an asset
Excellent communication and written skills
Attention to detail and high-quality standards
Positive attitude and self-starter
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Safety training provided upon hiring.
Personal Protective Equipment required in all work environments.
Work environments can vary between wet, dusty, cold, hot and high noise conditions.
Work around automated equipment.
Compensation
The hourly rate for this position is $44.13 per hour. Any adjustments in pay will be in accordance with Local CBA 401. We offer a generous benefits package including extended healthcare, flex spending accounts, EAP, paid holidays, paid time off program, basic & voluntary life insurance, STD, LTD, 401(k) plan, pension plan (CAD), and tuition reimbursement. Employees are eligible for product discounts through our CMG Division, as well as discounts from various external vendors.
