Job description

This is a remote position.

Job Highlights:
  • Contract type: Independent Contractor
  • Schedule: 20 hours / week, Monday - Friday, 10:00am to 2:00pm Georgetown TX time
Job Summary:
We are looking for a dynamic and creative Social Media Manager to oversee our social media platforms, develop engaging content, and maintain a strong online presence. The ideal candidate will have a passion for digital communication, strong graphic design skills, and a keen ability to craft content that resonates with our target audience.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Social Media Management:
    • Manage daily operations of all social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, X, TikTok, etc.).
    • Develop, implement, and manage social media strategies to align with business goals.
    • Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and inquiries promptly to foster engagement.
    • Track and analyze social media performance metrics (engagement rates, follower growth, reach, etc.) and create monthly performance reports.
  • Content Creation:
    • Plan, create, and publish high-quality, engaging, and brand-consistent content (text, image, video, etc.).
    • Write compelling captions and copy tailored to platform audiences.
    • Design graphics, banners, and other visual content using tools like Canva, Adobe Suite, or similar.
  • Brand Presence:
    • Ensure consistency in voice, tone, and visual branding across all social media channels.
    • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, competitor activities, and platform algorithm updates to recommend improvements.
    • Identify and implement new opportunities to grow audience reach and engagement.
  • Campaign Management:
    • Collaborate with marketing and other departments to support campaigns, product launches, and special initiatives.
    • Create and manage paid social media advertising campaigns to meet specific KPIs.
  • Community Engagement:
    • Build and nurture a loyal community of followers by initiating conversations, sharing valuable content, and encouraging user-generated content.
  • Email Campaign Management:
    • Develop and manage email marketing campaigns, including audience segmentation, copywriting, and design.
    • Analyze email performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, etc.) and implement improvements for future campaigns.
    • Ensure email campaigns align with broader marketing strategies and maintain brand consistency.
  • Website Development and Maintenance: (Good to have, but not required)
    • Oversee website updates, ensuring content is accurate, visually appealing, and functional.
    • Collaborate with developers or independently manage CMS platforms like WordPress or Squarespace for updates.
    • Optimize website performance for SEO and user experience.


Requirements
  • 3+ years of experience in social media management, content creation, or digital marketing.
  • Proficiency in social media tools and platforms (e.g., Meta Business Suite, Hootsuite, Buffer).
  • Strong design skills with experience in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Photoshop, Illustrator).
  • Exceptional writing, editing, and communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of SEO, analytics tools (Google Analytics, platform insights), and paid advertising campaigns is a plus.
  • Experience managing email campaigns and tools like Mailchimp, Constant Contact, or similar platforms.
  • Knowledge of website development and maintenance, with experience in CMS platforms (e.g., WordPress, Wix).
