Position Description
As the CEO of JobTest, you will lead a movement to transform the career coaching industry, scaling a profitable base into a global enterprise and driving toward a $1B+ exit. This role demands a hands-on leader with a relentless focus on growth, operational excellence, and building a culture of top performance.
With JobTest's foundation and proven team of expert career coaches, you will drive the next chapter of growth, scaling the company into the world's premier career coaching platform. You will own the P&L, shape the strategic vision, and lead initiatives that expand access to transformative career guidance for millions. You will also have access to Mechanism's in-house team of experts who are at the top of their fields and are here to provide world-class strategic guidance and execution.

Key Responsibilities
What You'll Do
- Scale JobTest's profitable foundation into a global enterprise.
- Own and be accountable for the business's P&L and strategic vision.
- Inspire, lead, and grow a high-performance team, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and execution.
- Drive growth marketing initiatives, including paid media, SEO, affiliate partnerships, and retention strategies.
- Oversee product development and innovation to meet evolving customer needs.
- Define and execute the company's strategic vision in collaboration with the board of directors.

This role will evolve significantly as the business scales. Initially, you will be deeply involved in day-to-day operations, taking a hands-on approach to executing across all areas of the business. As the company grows, you will focus on building a high-performing team to support that scale and shift your focus toward managing and optimizing the business for sustained success. First 30 Days
- Complete the Mechanism Growth Bootcamp and Foundational Training.
- Gain a comprehensive understanding of JobTest's operations, history, strengths, and weaknesses.
- Build strong trust, confidence, and rapport with your team and the Mechanism team.
First 60 Days
- Assume full operational and P&L responsibility for the business.
- Drive quick wins as you identify and lead strategic initiatives to drive growth, operational excellence, and performance.
First 90 Days
- Work with the board to ensure the business has the right strategy, team, and resources to maximize long-term enterprise value.
- Scale the business to drive long-term enterprise value.

Location and Time Commitment
We are fully remote. You can work wherever you're most productive. This role is full-time and must overlap with US ET for most of the workday. This challenging opportunity demands a level of dedication beyond the standard 9 to 5.
CompensationOur compensation packages are designed to make this your dream job for both the short and long term. Each compensation package includes a base salary and a significant equity stake.
For candidates located in New York, Washington, Colorado, California, and Illinois, the base salary range is $170,000 - $220,000 USD. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location.
