The Role

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and oversee the company’s backup and recovery systems.
• Regularly perform and monitor backup operations to ensure compliance with the company's data protection policy.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to backup processes.
• Perform data recovery operations in the event of data loss or corruption.
• Collaborate with IT security teams to align backup and recovery operations with overall security protocols.
• Continuously evaluate and improve backup strategies and processes.
• Provide training and support to team members on effective data protection practices.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in backup solutions.
  
  

Ideal Profile

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of professional experience as a Backup Engineer or in a similar role.
• Proficient in using Acronis backup software and familiar with its deployment and maintenance.
• Strong understanding of data protection principles and DLP (Data Loss Prevention) strategies.
• Experience with other backup solutions and technologies is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field or certifications.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Fluent in Spanish and English to effectively liaise with the stakeholders of the region.
