Wholesale Insurance Producer/Underwriter - Fully Remote

Our New Jersey based client is seeking a talented and experienced Wholesale Commercial Lines Producer/Underwriter to join their team, with a focus on Cyber, Crime and Professional Liability Insurance. As a Wholesale Producer, you will be responsible for evaluating and assessing the risks associated with commercial insurance policies, determining appropriate coverage and pricing, and ensuring compliance with company guidelines and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and underwrite new and renewal commercial insurance policies, including cyber, crime, management and professional liability coverage for a variety of agencies.
  • Build and maintain relationships with agencies, both locally and nationally.
  • Analyze risk factors and conduct research to ensure underwriting guidelines and pricing models are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Work collaboratively with brokers and agents to develop and maintain strong relationships.
  • Manage and prioritize workload to meet established service standards and deadlines.
  • Stay up-to-date on industry trends, changes in regulations, and emerging risks to ensure policies comply with legal and ethical standards.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in Commercial underwriting at Wholesale Insurance Agency.
  • Firm understand of the Wholesale marketplace, and relationships with Agencies in local market / niche.
  • Knowledge of commercial insurance products, underwriting guidelines, and pricing models, with a focus on management and professional liability (E&O, D&O, EPLI, PL) coverages.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and underwriting software systems.
  • Prior Experience on Applied preferred
