Data Mesh Consultant (m/f/d)

Your Tasks

  • Data Mesh Onboarding:
    • You orchestrate and standardize the onboarding process for business domains into the data mesh.
    • You collaborate with domain and governance teams to define data domains, identify data products and establish data ownership.
  • Architectural Guidance:
    • You provide architectural recommendations for data mesh infrastructure, collaborating with IT enterprise architects.
    • You ensure scalability, reliability and performance of data mesh components.
  • Solution Design:
    • You apply Design thinking and UX concepts for Data Product Creation
    • You work closely with platform team, data scientists and domain experts to design scalable data products.
  • Best Practices:
    • You research and advocate for industry best practices related to data mesh.
    • You stay informed about emerging technologies and trends.
Qualification

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in computer science, engineering, mathematics, statistics or a related field
  • At least 5 years of relevant work experience in data and analytics, preferably in a consulting role
  • Consulting Experience: Previous experience as a data consultant or architect.
  • Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with various business domains (e.g., finance, marketing, supply chain or production).
  • Ability to bridge the gap between business and technology

Experience And Know-how

  • Deep Understanding of Data Mesh: Familiarity with data mesh concepts, principles and implementation.
  • Technical Proficiency: Knowledge of cloud platforms (Azure and MS Fabric), data lakes and event-driven architectures.
  • Transformative Skills: Ability to work across teams and influence stakeholders and especially management.
  • Data Governance Expertise: Understanding of data privacy, security and compliance.
  • Benefitial: Experience with IT Enterprise Architectures and UX concepts like Design Thinking

Languages: English , German (optional but preferred)
