Job Title: Inside Sales Representative

Location: Remote, preference in FL, TX, AZ or CA

About the Role:

The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for incremental sales growth with Weld-On’s small to medium customers and branches at established distributors not stocking our products by building relationships and selling these customers the full line of Weld-On solvent cements and accessories. The successful candidate will be an energetic, goal-driven person with excellent communication skills. This position can be remote, but preference in the following areas FL, TX, AZ or CA. This position will report to the VP of Sales.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Responds to inquiries and effectively processes sales orders, ensuring timely follow-up as needed.
  • Prepares detailed price quotes and initiates the order entry process with precision.
  • Proactively reaches out to current small and medium-sized customers to nurture relationships and drive sales growth.
  • Engages new accounts and branch targets, converting opportunities into business for Weld-On.
  • Maintains an up-to-date database, including essential sales records and pricing information.
  • Addresses customer complaints, directing them to the appropriate departments for thorough investigation.
  • Keeps in close contact with management for specifically assigned accounts, ensuring consistent communication.
  • Collaborates with production, scheduling, and shipping teams to meet customer timelines and requirements.
  • Assists customers throughout the order placement process by answering product inquiries, preparing price quotes, providing order status updates, and addressing shipping or billing concerns.
  • Accurately enters data into the ERP system to initiate the order entry process.
  • Resolves customer complaints by providing effective solutions and referring more complex issues to the designated departments as necessary.
  • Aids in managing sample and literature requests, tracking back orders, and gathering customer information or report data.
  • Partners closely with the Customer Care Manager to ensure all customer interactions are handled swiftly and comprehensively.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned to support overall operations to fulfill customer needs.
  • Willingness to travel - expected travel 10%.


Required Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree strongly preferred.
  • 3+ years of sales experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Knowledge of ERP and/or MRP software.
  • Familiarity with CRM tools like SFDC.
  • Ability to analyze situations and make decisions for success.
  • Advanced problem-solving skills, and a demonstrated strong work ethic.
  • Capability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Clear verbal and written communication.
  • Ability to build and maintain trust through transparency.


Preferred Experience:

  • Demonstrated understanding and experience selling technical or chemical products.
  • Ability to speak Spanish a plus.
  • Working knowledge of products offered or ability to learn quickly.
