We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Retail Account Manager to join our team. As a Retail Account Manager, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining strong relationships with our retail accounts, being hyper focused on customer satisfaction, and driving sales growth. Your primary focus will be on managing accounts and implementing strategies and tactics to optimize revenue and paid subscriber account growth.

Responsibilities

  • Account Management: Build and maintain long-term relationships with retail accounts, serving as the primary point of contact. Understand their business objectives, anticipate their needs, and provide excellent customer service. Full account P&L ownership.
  • Sales Growth: Drive sales growth by identifying new opportunities within existing accounts and developing strategies and tactical execution plans. Collaborate with the sales operations, channel marketing, product development and finance teams to create solutions that meet customer requirements.
  • Data Analysis: Analyze sales data, market trends, and consumer behavior to identify areas of improvement and develop targeted sales strategies. Utilize data-driven insights to optimize product assortments, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns.
  • Negotiation and Contract Management: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with customers to ensure mutually beneficial agreements. Monitor contract performance and proactively address any issues or discrepancies.
  • Forecasting and Planning: Collaborate with internal teams to develop accurate sales forecasts and implement effective inventory management strategies. Monitor product performance and make recommendations to maximize sales and minimize stockouts or overstock situations.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, operations, finance, and product development teams to align on strategies, promotions, and product launches. Joint business planning and collaboration with customer merchant, inventory, and marketing teams. Provide feedback from customers to help shape product development and marketing initiatives.
  • Reporting and Presentations: Prepare regular reports on account performance, sales trends, and account insights including competitive positioning. Deliver presentations to internal stakeholders and customers, highlighting achievements, opportunities, and recommendations.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience as a Retail Account Manager, Retail Merchant, or in a similar role, preferably in the retail industry.
  • Account management experience at Walmart and Sam’s Club is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations through an omni-channel lens, sales strategies, and account management principles.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build rapport and foster long-term customer relationships.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a track record of exceeding sales targets and driving revenue growth.
  • Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office Suite, and data analysis tools.
  • Highly organized with excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Flexibility to travel for customer meetings, internal meetings, and industry events.
  • Positively contribute to team dynamics and the broader organization by helping to foster a team environment that is conducive to respect, challenging things in a constructive manner, mutual support, openness to alternative points of view, and creative thinking.

The pay range for this position reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries at commencement of employment and is expected to be between $71K – 112K a year, plus equity. However, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple factors, including location, role, job-related knowledge, skills, relevant education and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including bonus, equity, and a full range of benefits. Details of all benefits will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
