Job description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (FnO) Engineer to provide dedicated daily support for our accounting teams. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of D365 FnO, particularly in finance modules, and will be responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient use of the system by supporting accountants with system issues, requests, troubleshooting, and training. This role involves hands-on resolution of user incidents, regular system updates, and providing continuous improvement insights based on feedback and emerging business needs. The successful candidate will demonstrate both technical expertise in Dynamics 365 and a strong understanding of accounting processes, contributing to the ongoing success of our financial operations.

Responsibilities


  • End-User Support: Provide daily training, assistance, and troubleshooting to the finance department, addressing user issues, incidents, and requests related to Dynamics 365 FnO functionality, ensuring smooth and efficient use of the system.
  • Incident and Request Management: Act as the 2nd line of support for the accounting team, managing incidents, requests, and system inquiries related to D365 FnO. Provide timely and functional solutions to resolve any issues.
  • System Configuration & Maintenance: Assist in configuring and maintaining Dynamics 365 solutions to meet the evolving needs of the accounting team, ensuring smooth system operations and financial processes.
  • Training and Documentation: Develop and deliver ongoing training sessions for accounting staff, ensuring they are well-versed in the latest system updates, features, and best practices for using D365 FnO.
  • Testing & Issue Resolution: Support the testing of new D365 FnO features and functionalities for finance modules. Ensure that all issues raised during testing phases are promptly addressed and resolved.
  • Process Optimization: Collaborate with the finance team to identify areas for process improvements, using D365 FnO to enhance workflows, reporting, internal controls, and financial operations.
  • System Upgrades & Continuous Improvement: Stay current with the latest updates and new features in Dynamics 365 FnO, evaluating and implementing these updates to ensure optimal functionality for the accounting department.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with other business units, IT, and stakeholders to gather system requirements, customize D365 FnO to meet business needs, and provide support throughout business transformation initiatives.


Qualifications


  • Proven expertise in core D365 FnO modules, especially General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), Cash & Bank, Fixed Assets, and Project Accounting.
  • 3-4 years of hands-on experience providing Microsoft Dynamics 365 FnO support, particularly in resolving accounting-related issues and incidents.
  • Strong understanding of accounting processes and the ability to translate these into D365 FnO configurations and solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in troubleshooting and resolving technical issues within the D365 FnO ecosystem, specifically for accounting teams.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills, with a focus on finance-related issues.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a collaborative team.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical users.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 certifications in Finance and Operations are a plus.
