We are looking for a Director, Marketing and Communications.

Purpose:

• This position sets communications strategies for Comagine Health’s Oregon Health Plan Open Card contract, which includes the execution of multimodal information dissemination campaigns, event coordination and facilitation, and the assurance that all messaging and products produced are accessible, equitable and available in preferred formats and languages.
• This position oversees a small team of professionals who provide communications and project management support services to the Oregon Health Plan Open Card project teams.
  
  

Years of Experience:

• 8 years of related work experience.
• At least 3 years of supervisory experience preferred, with a commitment to continued growth and learning in key areas, such as coaching and conflict resolution.
  
  

Education:

BA/BS in a related field or equivalent combination of work experience.

Specialized Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities and/or Competencies:

• Strong command of written and verbal English and Spanish (ILR Speaking Skill Scale of Speaking 4).
• History of assisting with translation and transcreation needs.
• Skilled with managing vendors, including translation, transcreation, printing and direct mail contractors.
• Deep experience with the development and implementation of outreach and information dissemination strategies, as well as the management of communications publications and editorial plans.
• Ability to plan, prepare and host in-person informational meetings to convene participants across the state.
• Demonstrated knowledge of and proficiency with communications technologies and content management systems.
• Ability to collaborate with and take direction from project teams and funders to implement and measure communications strategies.
• Strong presentation and communications skills.
• Demonstrated proficiency in copywriting, graphic design, layout, and publishing with the ability to instruct and mentor staff in these areas.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills, including virtual team facilitation; demonstrates a passion for people, and helping individua3ls and a team perform their best.
• Excellent oral and impeccable written, copywriting and copyediting abilities.
• Demonstrated proficiency with Office 365, Adobe Creative Cloud.
  
  

Leadership:

• Provides timely, continuous recognition and feedback using objective, job-related data, and observations, (including documented performance appraisals at least annually); initiates timely and appropriate counseling, education, training and coaching to ensure quality, productivity and attendance standards are met by all team members.
• Develops and monitors professional development goals and objectives; assigns work and delegates authority appropriate for established, job-related duties, responsibilities and qualifications.
• Develops, maintains and enforces individual- and team-level performance expectations for deliverables; applies Comagine Health’s general conduct standards.
• Conducts personnel management activities, including but not limited to recruitment, selection and delivery of initial orientation and training (including review of direct reports’ job descriptions), plus ongoing training.
• Ensures availability of procedures, technology, reference books, computers, provider manuals and other resources necessary to conduct work activities; provides subject matter expertise as applicable.
  
  

Typical Job Duties an Responsibilities:

• Establishes and drives communications strategy and campaign development (as appropriate), including audience analysis, message development, outreach planning and tactic selection.
• Provides strategy, brand and web content development for the program in collaboration with all subcontractors and necessary vendors.
• Coordinates with project leadership, funders and other contributors to ensure all marketing and communications materials, plans and campaigns related to Oregon Health Plan benefits and provider opportunities are culturally appropriate and informed by recipients.
• Creates and follows processes, tools and forms for compliance and accessibility, including considerations for copyright infringement, language equity and Section 508 standards.
• Hires and maintains relationships with several external contractors to handle translation, printing and direct mail services.
• Establishes writing/content development standards for the program, including compliance with brand guidelines and accessibility requirements.
• Develops a standard content review process, including copyediting, proofreading, application of AP Style and plain language.
• Develops external “push” communications strategies for initiative’s target audiences, including direct mail campaigns to distribute newsletters, brochures, enrollment notices, handbooks and other informational packets.
• Organizes and conducts meetings at various locations statewide on at least a quarterly basis.
• Builds collaborative internal relationships to contribute to overall excellence and consistent messaging while providing leadership and guidance to the professionals on the project.
  
  

Travel:

Frequent travel to facilitate events across the state of Oregon.

Compensation Range:

$110,000 - $120,000
