The Corporate Executive Chef for B&G Foods’ Spice & Flavor Solutions Business Unit serves as a pivotal leader driving innovation, promotion, and growth across the company’s spice and herb brands. Reporting directly to senior leadership, this role combines culinary expertise with strategic vision to shape product development, marketing initiatives, and customer engagement. This position ensures the division’s products captivate both consumers and professionals, maintaining relevance and competitiveness in a dynamic and evolving market.

Culinary Innovation & Product Development

  • Collaborate with Marketing and R&D teams to transform concepts into innovative products and recipes, leveraging culinary expertise to align with consumer preferences and industry trends.
  • Provide a culinary perspective to guide the development of new products and applications, ensuring alignment with customer and consumer demands.
  • Create and maintain culinary gold-standard recipes to inspire product concept development and foster innovation.
  • Conduct independent evaluations of new, existing, and competitive products, delivering actionable and strategic feedback to inform R&D and marketing decisions.

Brand Support & Marketing

  • Partner with marketing teams to craft engaging content, including recipes, promotional materials, and other brand assets that highlight the culinary potential of spice and herb products.
  • Contribute to website and social media strategies by developing, editing, and proofing recipes, ensuring compelling, on-trend content enriched with practical tips and descriptions.
  • Support product launches by creating and validating consumer-friendly recipes, use statements, and descriptions for packaging to enhance appeal and drive engagement.
  • Execute live recipe tastings and demonstrations, collaborating with R&D to refine formulations and ensure product excellence.
  • Work closely with brand managers to plan and execute impactful customer meetings, trade shows, and culinary events, reinforcing the brand's value and market presence.
  • Establish and lead a Culinary Council, serving as the culinary ambassador for B&G Foods’ Spice & Herb Division, cultivating relationships with chefs, influencers, brand ambassadors, and licensed partners to enhance brand authenticity, versatility, and reach.

Customer Engagement & Sales Support

  • Partner with sales teams to design customer-specific recipes and culinary solutions that showcase product versatility and relevance across diverse applications.
  • Conduct culinary demonstrations and tastings for customers, emphasizing the quality, innovation, and application of spice and herb products to build loyalty and foster engagement.

Leadership & Strategy

  • Align culinary initiatives with B&G Foods’ strategic goals, fostering seamless collaboration across cross-functional teams to ensure cohesive execution and alignment with company objectives.
  • Serve as an inspiring culinary ambassador for internal teams and external stakeholders, driving creativity, expertise, and a passion for flavor innovation in every interaction.

Experience, Skills, Education:

  • Bachelor's degree or related culinary degree with eight or more years of industry and culinary management experience.
  • Total of 8-10 relevant experience, required
  • Previous experience with control of food and labor cost, demonstration cooking, menu development, and pricing and development of culinary team preferred.
  • Food lab or manufacturing experience, preferred
  • Catering/event experience required
