SUMMARY
The Payroll Manager, Strike oversees and coordinates the support of all USN job actions (strikes) regardless of size or duration. The Strike Payroll Manager strives to uphold strong compliance awareness with the goal of accurate payroll processing.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Comprehensive understanding of the Ingenovis family of brands, the overall business model, understanding of the nuances of differentiation in the policies across those brands.
- Coordinate with all USN Operations departments, provide updates across the organization as requested as well as relaying pertinent data to the Payroll leadership team and the USN Payroll team as updates are provided.
- Understanding and knowledge of Workday, Bullhorn, QuickBase, and ADP Workforce Now. Knowledge of PeopleSoft, eRecruit, PreferPay and Findd preferred.
- Oversight of the Manual EMP pulls from Bullhorn needed for Strike support as coordinated with the USN Operations team, including data review and any necessary modifications to ensure successful loading into ADP WFN, including any subsequent data loading in ADP WFN for PreferPay coding and recurring tokens.
- Elevated Excel experience including VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, nested IF statements, XLOOKUP, complex formula creation for accuracy.
- People Management: regular communication, coaching, feedback to staff; conduct annual performance evaluations, make pay change recommendations, maintain bench strength to account for PTO and departure coverage.
- Development and maintenance of cohesive training materials across multiple formats (recordings, quizzes, practice sessions) and an interactive curriculum to quickly and effectively on-board staff to support larger job action needs, both for internal staff from other brands who have basic industry and system knowledge as well as external contingent staff that have no knowledge of the Ingenovis family of brands nor the nuances of USN.
- Coordinate with all Ingenovis Payroll teams, Accounting, Finance, HR, Compensation, Benefits and Compliance for the accurate timely collection of data for reconciliation, troubleshooting, corrective training.
- Develops internal working relationships across the business to drive growth, engagement, and results.
- Collaborates with cross-functional teammates, leaders, and stakeholders to strategically implement solutions to optimize our operations for our key partners and vendors.
- Oversee Sick time management across all W-2 replacement workers within ADP, feeding results back to BTE weekly when appropriate for longer-duration strikes in relevant jurisdictions; coordinating with the Intake/Upload team to avoid duplication of efforts.
- Works across all companies: Fastaff, USN, Trustaff, and other brands as needed.
- Provide coverage and support for strike-work in any other brands such as Springboard Health.
- Performs additional duties as requested by management.
REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
- The minimum education required for this position is a High School Diploma. Associates Degree or Bachelors Degree in accounting or business preferred.
- Working knowledge and experience working within Workday, PeopleSoft for historical data, ADP WorkforceNow, HRS Pro for escheatment, ADP Wage Payments and associated systems such as SmartCompliance.
- Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification preferred.
- Proven ability in performance management practices including setting clear expectations, assigning tasks, providing regular feedback and recognizing achievements; coaching and mentoring staff, providing training opportunities, addressing interpersonal issues, mediating disputes and promoting a collaborative work environment, especially in a remote environment.
- Solid understanding of Ingenovis corporate structure and associated setup, integrations and partnerships.
- The minimum related experience required for this position is 3-5 years, preferably in an in-house payroll processing environment.
- Experience with QuickBase, DocuSign, ADP WorkforceNow, Bullhorn, PreferPay, SmartSheet for managing project work such as strikes.
- Ability to accurately estimate net pay costs by strike, accounting for overtime laws, and partner with Finance and Vendors to get funding handled proactively.
- Knowledgeable of payroll related practices including taxes and withholding.
- Three (3) years experience in a healthcare and/or staffing environment or related experience.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proven track record of forming strong internal relationships.
- Computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Good at following instructions and working independently.
- Excellent communication (written and verbal), organizational, and time management skills are necessary.
- Must have high level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations.
- Ability to maintain a calm and professional demeanor during high stress situations.
- Effective prioritization & multi-tasking skills and the ability to work in fast-paced environment with the objective of meeting company performance expectations.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Ability to use sensory skills to effectively communicate and interact with other employees and the public through use of the telephone, email, video conference and face to face contact.
- Ability to use manual dexterity, visual acuity and hearing acuity to effectively use and operate office related equipment such as but not limited to a computer, copier, scanner, camera, phone, headset, keyboard and mouse.
- Ability to sit for extended periods of time at a keyboard and workstation with low periods of reaching and standing.
- Ability to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Compensation Range
$78,600.00 - $98,300.00
Benefits include: health, dental, vision, FSA/HSA, company-paid life & disability insurance, 401K w/ employer match, paid time off, paid parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
