The Business Development Representative (BDR) plays a critical role in PrimePay's growth strategy by driving net new business opportunities within the mid-market space. This role is responsible for outbound prospecting, engaging marketing-qualified leads and working closely with sales and marketing teams to build pipeline and expand assigned territories. BDRs leverage their expertise to align with sales strategies, promote events and actively participate in achieving the company’s sales goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Territory Management: Manage a designated mid-market territory, focusing on net new business opportunities
  • Lead Generation: Proactively engage with prospects through outbound activities, including email, phone, and LinkedIn outreach
  • Event Support: Work closely with the marketing team to drive attendance and engagement for PrimePay’s events within the assigned territory
  • Collaboration: Align efforts with sales representatives to ensure a seamless handoff of qualified opportunities and shared ownership of pipeline growth
  • Sales Enablement: Effectively communicate PrimePay’s value proposition, tailoring messaging to address the unique needs of each prospect
  • Pipeline Management: Track and report on prospecting activities, ensuring alignment with performance metrics and team goals
  • Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with prospects, positioning PrimePay as a trusted partner for their business needs


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in a related field
  • 1-2 years of business development experience in Human Capital Management (HCM) or SaaS is highly preferred
  • Proven ability to prospect and generate leads through tools such as Gong, ZoomInfo, Salesforce.com, and LinkedIn
  • Ability to work collaboratively with sales and marketing teams to achieve shared goals
  • Strategic thinker with a customer-focused mindset and a results-driven approach to sales
  • Proficient in CRM tools and sales software; able to analyze data and generate actionable insights
