As
Instructional Designer (m/f/d) EMEA you will collaboratively craft and develop engaging training programs with Abiomed clinical subject matter experts. The focus is on creating impactful learning experiences and materials that are engaging in our clinical and commercial audience's needs, contributing to our mission of recovering hearts and saving lives. To achieve this, you will work directly with the Training & Education team as well as cross-functionally with Marketing, Regulatory, etc. Additionally, you will align content creation standards and procedures globally. To be successful in this role, you need to have a great foundation in instructional design principles, educational technology, & adult learning theories.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design learning experiences to enhance our educational performance and employee growth, aligned with the company’s vision and values.
- Build engaging learning activities and compelling course content to improve retention and cultivate a culture of learning.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts to ensure the course meets the vital learning objectives, empowering learners to excel in their roles.
- Partner with international e-learning specialists to integrate best practices in education and adult learning theories.
- Develop and lead learning materials for external use by customers as well as internal training (e.g., audio, video, simulations, case-based learning, scenarios, games) in alignment with strategic goals.
- Conceptualize, develop and produce modern digital training for our healthcare products and medical scientific training topics.
- Ensure all training materials used by subject matter experts are up-to-date, consistent, and aligned with current product iterations, indications, procedures, and techniques.
- Align training materials with marketing messaging and key industry trends.
- Lead all aspects of content through Abiomed’s content approval process and ensure accurate posting in relevant locations.
Qualifications:
Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in adult learning and formal education in instructional design, educational technology, media design.
Experience and Skills:
- Strong understanding of adult learning principles, learning theories (e.g., ADDIE, SAM), & instructional design models.
- Ability to communicate ideas and concepts clearly, effectively, and comprehensively in both oral and written formats.
- Proficient in using MS Office 365 Suite.
- Self-starter with ability to take initiative in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to write clear instructions and summaries, as well as adapt text for audio/video scripts in English and German.
- Strong administrative and organizational skills and must have keen attention to detail
