Business Intelligence Developer - Perioperative Services

**This role can be on-site, hybrid, or fully remote in the following locations: WV, MD, VA, NC, SC, GA, FL, TN, AR, KY, TX**

VCU Health System is excited to hire a new team member with Enterprise Analytics to serve as our data science representative to Perioperative Services. This position will work on building data assets, analysis reports, and dashboards using technology offerings such as Snowflake, Microsoft’s Fabric, and Epic. This position will also serve as a subject matter expert surrounding one of the most intense and critical aspects of our business; the support functions related to surgical operations. The preferred candidate will have an understanding of surgical medical care, and specifically the perioperative process.

The Database Reporting Analyst job family is responsible for the reporting of operational, financial, clinical, and performance improvement data.

Experience REQUIRED:
Up to three years of related experience
Full use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques.
Sound knowledge of the system development life cycle, database management languages, relational databases, change management, and testing processes.
Business knowledge in at least on key subject area (operational, financial, or clinical).
Basic problem solving skills Strong written communication skills

Education/training REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of related education and experience. Beginner to intermediate knowledge of SQL

Independently determines and develops approaches to solutions with work completed with accuracy and sound judgment ensuring objectives are met.
