As a Portfolio Payments Sales Manager in our Financial Tech Software business, you will play a crucial role working with assigned Portfolio companies (Business Units) to convert payment sales opportunities post-acquisition and ensure new merchants are onboarded with payments (increasing “attach” rate). This role is a liaison to assigned Business Units to drive payments sales strategies and tactics, educate on Fullsteam payment processes and software tools, confirm merchant lists and segments, create communication plans, answer payment processing questions, and learn about new payment/technology offerings. Additional responsibilities include documenting Portfolio Company campaigns/strategies, reporting monthly/quarterly/annual boarding forecast/progress, payment initiatives/projects, and merchant acquisition/retention risks. Finally, this role is a resource for their assigned Portfolio companies to assist with any sales campaigns and projects.
The position is a sales role. As needed, the Portfolio Payments Sales Manager may be asked to conduct introductory payment calls, assist with payment sales calls, review payment processing statements, partner with and coach payment sales representatives, create savings quotes, and business case justifications.
This position location is remote. Business travel is required occasionally. Candidates must be able to pass a comprehensive background check required for payments-related businesses.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and execute assigned Business Units payments sales plans, tactics, and strategies through effective listening, communication and attention to detail that are aligned with company objectives.
Assist with creation of concise and error-free Business Unit communication plans and sales documentation.
Drive new payments “attach” to new SaaS clients within BUs establishing KPIs and creative client/prospect engagement plans.
Accountable for both boarded payment volume and activated/ “live” processing payments.
Manage the progress of assigned Business Units payment sales plans by reporting campaigns/tactics, goal progress/forecast, and risks in a central database (CRM/Salesforce.com, Teams, SharePoint)
Manage periodic (Weekly, Bi-weekly) sales pipelines calls at the BU level
Escalate assigned Business Unit payment sales plan risks or obstacles to Director of Sales
Serve as liaison for client feedback (e.g., production issues and suggestions) working closely with the internal payments team (Sales Operations and Account Management) to escalate to VP, Payments Sales for resolution and/or Head of Fullsteam Payments support
Provide assigned Business Units with payments expertise to answer payments, technology, and sales inquiries through a deep understanding of product offerings.
Assist assigned Business Units to close deals via participating in Payment Introduction Calls, Payment Sales Calls, etc.
Through the Payments Sales Reps, provide prospects with formal quotes/proposals for services offered
Provide updates, insight, and education on new payment sales and technology offerings
Assist with the roll-out of new payment sales and technology offerings working with product and marketing teams to support revenue growth.

Skills and Experience:
Prior sales experience is a Must. Proven experience in driving sales, KPIs, and creative client/prospect engagement focused on achieving and exceeding sales targets.
Exhibits knowledge of the payments industry staying on top of market trends with experience in conducting competitor analysis demonstrating a deep product knowledge for existing payments solutions and technologies.
High Proficiency in the use of Salesforce
Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.) and Adobe Acrobat.
Ability to learn simple and complex concepts quickly to apply problem solving solutions.
Sales Management experience is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, finance, or a related field preferred.
