Job description

Purpose of Position

We are seeking a dynamic and highly-organised Events Manager to lead the planning, execution and post-event strategy for our external events. Reporting directly to the Global Events Lead, this role will be working independently to deliver impactful events that align with our global and local growth objectives, including brand awareness and lead generation. The ideal candidate is a natural communicator, experienced in event management and promotion, with a proven track record of delivering successful events that engage audiences and drive business growth.

 

Key Responsibilities & Tasks

Event execution and speaker slots

  • Responsible for planning and execution of global and local external events (trade shows, conferences, exhibitions) ensuring seamless logistics with event organisers and Awin staff.
  • Act as the main point of contact for all event-related activities, ensuring clear communication and alignment between stakeholders. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams (sales, client services, marketing etc.) to align event goals with business objectives.
  • Work closely with the Content and Strategy team on topics for speaker slots and ensure content is shared amongst all markets where relevant.
  • Work closely with the Content and Regional Marketing team on the most effective brand messaging for the event and audience.
  • Work closely with the Comms and Regional Marketing team to create compelling assets, including email campaigns, social media content, print material and landing pages. 
  • Support researching and negotiating new event opportunities.

Merchandise

  • Support the research, ordering and coordinating merchandise, client gifting and other event materials globally Reporting / Lead Generation
  • Responsible for managing and maintaining global events reporting 
  • Analyse event performance, including ROI, engagement metrics and feedback, to inform future strategies 
  • Actively engage with the local and global sales team to ensure effective lead tracking
  • Lead on post-event communications to nurture leads before handing highly engaged prospects to sales to ensure we maximise event

 

Key Skills & Experience

  • 3+ years relevant event management experience
  • B2B marketing/events experience preferred
  • Strong Project Management skills and proven ability to manage multiple events simultaneously, meeting deadlines and budgets
  • Experience with tools like Swapcard, Salesforce and Asana preferred
  • Clear understanding of how to track and report on event ROI
  • Strong attention to detail, multitasking ability, resilience and positive attitude
  • Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyse and interpret performance metrics
  • Strong interpersonal skills to manage cross-functional teams and external relationships.
  • Fluent written and spoken English essential
