QA Automation Engineer

We help our clients attack their ambitious business goals, solve skills shortage issues, and become innovative by building Dedicated Software Development Teams in Mexico, Canada, the U.S.A., and Ukraine and providing on-demand IT project resources to complete required skills on their in-house teams.

We are seeking a mid to senior-level person to work in its Software Quality Assurance area. Candidates must be detail-oriented, self-motivated, tech-savvy, and a quick learner. The position is for automation and manual testing of our complex system via GUI and REST calls. Familiarity in the following areas is a plus: Jira, GitHub, JavaScript, OpenAPI (Swagger), Postman, and AWS.

Requirements

• 5 days a week with a minimum of 40 hours per week
• The preferred timezone is Central Time
• Daily availability at 8:00 am (CST) for meetings
• Proven experience in automated software testing of complex SaaS solutions...not just basic website or application testing
• Proficiency in specific automation tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Appium). We use Selenium.
• Proficiency of programming languages (e.g., Python, Java, JavaScript) used in automation. We use Python.
• Experience in creating and maintaining test automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests is a bonus.
• Proven experience in manual software testing
• Experience in writing their own test plans and acceptance criteria based on requirements
• Ability to identify and clear document software defects
• Willingness to search/hunt for defects that go beyond the obvious or what is written in the requirements
• Estimate QA effort needed to complete a task
• Knowledge of software testing methodologies and tools
• Able work remotely using collaboration tools to communicate with coworkers
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail
• Effective communication skills to collaborate with developers and stakeholders
• Must be able to present new features and fixes to company during bi-weekly Sprint Review Meetings via Zoom
• Comfortable asking for help or clarification
