What we do
At Perlego, there are almost 100 of us working hard to make education accessible to all. We believe access to good quality affordable learning unlocks potential. Knowledge should be more accessible, not locked behind sky-high price tags.
Over the past 7 years, our goal has been to support students across the UK & Europe to access quality books. We've just closed a $20M funding round, to continue our current ambitions of 1) expanding our support to students globally, specifically looking at the US and 2) building a product that goes beyond the book, a platform that helps students study smarter and more effectively.
What we’re looking for
A confident and organised Account Manager to join our Content team and help us manage and grow publisher relationships in English-speaking territories. Our publishing partners are vital to our work and we want to help them be successful on Perlego, reaching new audiences and markets that they might otherwise not be able to access.
We’re looking for a strong collaborator who can work closely with stakeholders in the Content team and our Content Operations Prod-Eng squad to deliver a holistic publisher-centred experience.
We’re searching for someone to act as the “voice of the publisher” within Perlego, using their time strategically to manage a portfolio of publisher clients, helping them to maximise the engagement with their titles on our platform, and encouraging them to maintain and expand their partnership with us.
What you’ll do
- Be responsible for publisher success - for example meeting regularly with clients (both virtually and in person), making sure key texts are made available on Perlego and publicised widely, that publishers get paid royalties and receive key insights to help define their product roadmap.
- Act as a key point of contact for publisher first-line support; supporting with queries and looking for opportunities to improve the publisher experience
- Look after content auditing and activation, co-developing automated processes to help our content operations scale.
- Collaborate across the business, from Content through to Product and Engineering, as well as Finance, SEO, Sales and Marketing.
- Look for creative and persuasive ways to encourage publishers to expand their partnerships with Perlego, from uploading new content to opening up to new geographies

- A strong ability to track and meet deadlines; excellent prioritisation and time-management skills; able to juggle multiple accounts, contacts and initiatives simultaneously
- Evidence of a proactive and strategic approach to managing a portfolio of opportunities
- Excellent communication and listening skills
- A data-driven approach, with strong analytical capabilities and the ability to draw insights from data
- A passion for books and learning
- A desire to work in a fast-paced startup environment. You should be comfortable with ambiguity and want to work in an environment which offers huge opportunities for growth
✨ It’s a big plus if you have:
- A track record of refining and automating internal systems for maximum efficiency
- Previous experience being responsible for your own portfolio of clients
- Previous experience of working with publishers
