Account Executive (Mid-Atlantic Region)
REMOTE (candidates located in the Mid-Atlantic region preferred)
About the Role:
Pondurance is seeking a driven and experienced Account Executive to cover the Mid-Atlantic territory, including NYC, NJ, PA, VA, MD, DC. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, particularly in cybersecurity or technology sectors, and will be responsible for generating new business and managing existing client relationships. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication and negotiation skills, capable of working independently in a remote environment.
Responsibilities:
- Ability to travel within the mid-Atlantic states (NYC, NJ, PA, VA, MD, DC)
- Prospect new leads and generate sufficient pipeline growth. Develop, qualify and close opportunities
- Grow and develop channel partners to generate leads and prospect meetings while leveraging Pondurance sales model
- Achieve sales quota goals; drive and deliver monthly, quarterly, and annual sales numbers.
- Plan and participate in sales events and channel partner enablement that will drive sales pipeline within territory.
- Deliver on-line and face-to-face presentations highlighting Pondurance capabilities while leveraging technical and corporate resources.
- Promote positivity, helpfulness and resourcefulness with customers having the goal of exceeding expectations.
- Drive customer satisfaction by owning and solving customer challenges while setting realistic expectations.
- Prioritize goal setting, resource management, contingency planning, and coordinating and cooperating with others.
- Promote Pondurance’s collaborative spirit, work ethics, and service-oriented culture.
- Seek opportunities to improve the company’s process and systems through initiating changes where necessary and appropriate.
Technologies:
- Proficiency with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales tools.
Knowledge and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in sales, with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.
- Experience in the cybersecurity or technology sectors is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of the sales process, lead generation strategies, and pipeline management.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively in a remote environment.
- Capable of making thoughtful, systematic decisions under pressure in a timely manner.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and passionate about sales and technology.
- Adaptable and open to feedback.

Although this is a remote role, if you live close by, you’ll have access to our office locations: McLean, VA or Indianapolis, IN.
