Job description

Title: Junior Energy Data Analyst 

Position Type: Full-time 

Reporting Location: Remote 

Schedule: Mon-Fri 

Salary Range: $60,000 - $65,000/year

Reports to: Associate Engineering Manager 

OVERVIEW 

Verdani Partners is seeking a motivated Junior Energy Data Analyst to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate would fill an important role dedicated to one of Verdani’s large commercial real estate portfolio clients enhancing data coverage and quality in collaboration with the ESG team, engineering, and the property teams. This role involves regular quarterly data requests to property teams, close collaboration with key stakeholders and vendors including Measurabl and Redaptive to address data gaps, and make ongoing adjustments to data input sources, all aimed at ensuring the continuous improvement of data coverage and quality.   

This applicant would coordinate directly with our clients; therefore, they must also have superior communication, writing, and presentation skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES  

Primary: 

  • Excellent excel and data management skills 

  • ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager experience (Strongly Desired) 

  • Work with utilities to request aggregated building data through their processes 

Secondary: 

  • Familiarity with building systems and local/state benchmarking regulations 

  • Proven ability to manage, manipulate and analyze utility billing and usage data (energy, water, waste) 

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

Required: 

  • Bachelor's Degree: Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Engineering Technology, Energy Management, or another related field.   

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills   

Preferred: 

  • LEED Green Associate, LEED Accredited Professional – EBOM, Certified Energy Manager, or Certified Energy Auditor   

PLATFORMS & SOFTWARE 

Required: 

  • Advanced Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)  

Preferred: 

  • Experience using ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager 

WORKING CONDITIONS AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS 

During the execution of job responsibilities, the employee should expect the following conditions and demands associated with the role:  

  • Remaining in a stationary position for prolonged periods of time at a desk and working on a computer  

  • Repetitive motions involving the wrists, hands, and/or fingers 

  • Occasional light to moderate lifting, bending, stooping, kneeling, or crouching may be necessary 

  • Close vision requirements due to computer work 

  • Adequate hearing for effective communication in-person and/or on the telephone 

  • Ability to move objects weighting up to 25 pounds occasionally, 10 pounds frequently, and/or 5 pounds continuously.  

  • The job is performed indoors in a traditional office setting where moderate noise levels may be present.
