RER Solutions, Inc., is accepting resumes for Bookkeeper to become a part of our superior workforce. The Bookkeeper will manage daily financial transactions, maintain accurate records, process invoices, and ensure timely reporting of company expenses.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Post and reconcile daily financial transactions, including accounts payable (AP), accounts receivable (AR), and payroll
  • Track and categorize company expenditures, ensuring all expenses are properly documented and classified
  • Review expense reports submitted by employees, verifying receipts, approving transactions, and ensuring they adhere to budget guidelines
  • Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payment
  • Reconcile discrepancies between invoices and purchase orders or contracts
  • Communicate with vendors to resolve billing issues or discrepancies
  • Prepare and review expense variance reports for management to help identify potential cost-saving opportunities
  • Ensure that all financial records and expense reports comply with company policies and relevant regulations
  • Assist with internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations of expenses
  • Work closely with department heads and managers to monitor and manage department-specific expenses 
  • Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and other financial accounts on a monthly basis
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting, with a focus on expense reporting and financial reconciliations in a government contracting environment
  • Experience with accounting software 
  • Familiarity with expense management tools (e.g., WrkPlan, Concur, and other ERP systems) is a plus
  • Knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles)
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong accounting skills, an eye for detail, and experience in reconciling financial discrepancies and generating expense reports 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and an understanding of fundamental business writing
  • Expertise in Microsoft Office Products (i.e., Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)


EDUCATION: Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Bachelor's degree preferred)
