Overview:

The Inside Sales Representative is essential in driving the growth of our sales team by generating and nurturing business opportunities within a defined set of key accounts and targeted market segments. This role will work closely with outside account executives to qualify leads, manage manufacturer pricing programs, and handle administrative tasks related to booking projects and scheduling meetings. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, highly organized, and possesses a deep understanding of technology integration solutions within specific industries.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Targeted Lead Generation: Focus on generating leads within a specified set of key and target accounts and target market segments, utilizing research, industry events, partner introductions and strategic outreach.
  • Qualify Leads: Assess the needs of potential clients within these targeted segments, qualify leads, and determine the appropriate next steps in the sales process.  Leverage outside sales resources to directly engage the end users.
  • Proactive Sales: Actively sell new and renewal services contracts, as well as hardware-only sales opportunities to both existing and new clients.
  • Manufacturer Pricing Programs: Utilize and manage manufacturer pricing programs to support opportunity engagements driving higher margins and increased close ratio.
  • Project Support: Assist in the preparation and processing of project bookings, including the creation and submission of sales orders and ensuring all necessary documentation is in place.  Submit & secure manufacturer special pricing requests.  Interact with estimating resources as needed to support project estimates, etc.
  • Scheduling: Coordinate and schedule end user meetings and partner support requirements.
  • Support Outside Sales: Collaborate with outside account executives to ensure a seamless handoff of qualified leads and assist in the preparation of sales presentations and proposals.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Maintain and update CRM with accurate information regarding leads, opportunities, and customer interactions within the specified key accounts.
  • Product Knowledge: Stay up to date with the company’s technology solutions and services to effectively communicate their benefits to potential clients within the targeted segments.
  • Outbound Communication: Conduct outbound calls and emails to prospective clients within the defined accounts to introduce the company’s offerings and schedule meetings for outside sales representatives.
  • Follow-Up: Provide timely follow-up to inquiries and leads, ensuring a positive customer experience.
  • Administrative Support: Assist with internal administrative tasks associated with the sales process, including tracking project progress, updating sales records, and generating reports.
  • Reporting: Track and report on key performance metrics, including lead conversion rates, pipeline activity, sales forecasts, and contract renewals within the targeted market segments.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with marketing, product development, and customer support teams to ensure alignment in messaging and customer experience.

 

Qualifications:
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience in inside sales, preferably within the technology industry.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree - Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce).
    • Ability to understand and explain complex technology solutions.
    • High level of organization and attention to detail.
    • Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
    • Experience with manufacturer pricing programs is a plus.

Base Salary Range- $65,000- $85,000.

 

Please note that this job posting includes base salary information for the assigned target market range within the primary geographic region where the requisition is posted.  If the position is posted in multiple locations or is a remote position, the salary range may vary. Individual pay rates will, of course, vary depending on the skills, experience, certifications, specific licenses, internal equity, and education of the applicant.

Certain roles may be eligible for other compensation such as bonuses, commissions, car allowance, cell phone reimbursement, and tuition reimbursement.
