Job Overview:

The Administrative Patient Care Coordinator plays a pivotal role, acting as the linchpin between patients and medical professionals. This individual is tasked with managing patient records, scheduling appointments, and ensuring the seamless operation of front office activities. They are responsible for maintaining confidentiality of patient information, handling insurance verification, provide clear communication to patients and staff, and providing administrative support to healthcare staff.

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinating patient appointments, including scheduling, rescheduling, and managing cancellations to optimize clinic workflow.
  • Facilitating communication between patients and healthcare providers to ensure clear understanding of treatment plans, follow-up appointments, and healthcare services.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records, including personal information, treatment history, and any relevant medical documentation.
  • Assisting patients with the completion of necessary healthcare forms and documentation required for their care and treatment.
  • Providing administrative support to healthcare staff, including managing correspondence, answering phone calls, and handling patient inquiries.
  • Ensuring confidentiality and privacy of patient information in compliance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Qualifications:

  • At least 3 years of experience in the US Healthcare Industry.
  • Knowledge of different kinds of Insurance.
  • Working knowledge or familiarity with EMR systems.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior phone communication skills with providers, carriers, patients, and employees.
