Primary Responsibilities:

  • On an ongoing basis, consult with PLs and operation leads on financial matters to drive the service line revenue and reduce costs.

  • Provide financial expertise and guidance, improving the overall acumen of the project teams and ensuring proper revenue recognition. Function as the controller for the service line.

  • Provide accurate, transparent, and timely financial analysis to support business leadership in decision making process regarding the service line P&L; clearly articulate financial implications of business decisions and provide retrospective variance analysis to identify risks and opportunities to drive forward looking actions.

  • Facilitate the monthly revenue forecasting based on tracking NBA. Ensure that the forecast and burn models are aligned with operational plans.

  • Ensures data accuracy and integrity and conducts detailed analysis to solve problems and provide recommendations and insights. Considers the big picture, including all stakeholders, and looks beyond the obvious to anticipate problems and data needs and proactively find solutions.

  • Leverage understanding of the business context to synthesize financial and operational data into meaningful business insights that highlight performance, risk, and opportunities. Take steps to be embedded with project financial analysts in order to understand operational challenges and financial implications.

  • Maintain, produce and present monthly financial reports detailing progress on the service line’s P&L status. The review will focus on revenue forecast, labor, non-labor costs, margin and EBITDA. Monthly analysis will involve reviewing and updating Headcount and Utilization reports. The review should capture potential improvement opportunities to improve efficiency and profitability.

  • Review revenue control testing, SOX or audits as needed

  • Possesses and applies financial accounting and reporting knowledge, policies and procedures. Upholds all company policies, compliance standards and controls to protect business integrity.

  • Partners and collaborates within and outside of Finance to create positive financial outcomes, encourages process improvements, resolves issues from a ‘One Parexel’ perspective.

  • Thrives in a complex, fast-paced and potentially ambiguous environment; works effectively in a matrix environment.

  • Demonstrates advanced Excel and PowerPoint applications skills; experience with financial performance systems (e.g., Hyperion, Oracle). Possesses sound interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills; ability to collaborate and present effectively and professionally in a variety of settings

  • Possesses a passion to succeed, perseverance, and demonstrated problem solving skills Ability to successfully work in a ‘virtual` team environment. FP&A and Business Unit experience a plus but not necessary.


Job Qualifications:

Qualified CA with 3+ Years Strong experience in progressive Finance role with analytical and partnering track record.
