You will be a virtual part of a clinical oncology/hematology environment with the opportunity to impact the future of clinical research and improve patients’ lives, while growing professionally at a dynamic, fast-growing, start-up organization.
As an oncology Virtual Physician Partner I (VPP I), you will work virtually in an outpatient oncology/hematology office, accompanying health care providers during clinic visits. In this role, you are the physician’s personal efficiency partner, working virtually side-by-side with a medical oncologist to document patient encounters and collect research-quality data in real-time. The VPP I will assist the physician in completeness of documentation and capturing specific data elements needed for clinical trials. You will play a crucial role as a member of the patient care team and serve as an essential interface between the clinical site and the execution of clinical research.
Other goals include increasing efficiency of the VPP documentation of medical visits, communication with staff and providers, and overall improving the patient experience.

Role Objectives & ResponsibilitiesServe as the Company’s trusted face to the clinical practice, providing clinical support while improving routine care data quality Virtually accompany the healthcare provider in all scheduled visits, assisting the provider by drafting clinical notesUpdate charts with new clinical findings, aligning with the healthcare provider’s (HCP’s) needs and documenting what has occurred since last visit. Successfully utilize the EMR to accurately document all clinic activity including patient history, physical exams, assessments, diagnostic results, medical procedures, treatment plan, and follow up. Ensure adherence to protocol requirements and data quality standards Review completed charts with the provider to ensure accuracy and completeness of data. Ensure quality and integrity of data capture, compliance and confidentiality with Company’s and site’s policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) Additional duties and responsibilities as required Education, Experience, Behavioral Competencies & SkillsMinimum 2 years of experience in medical scribe roleBachelor’s degree or above in nursing, pharmacy, health education, or any healthcare related field strongly preferred Extensive knowledge of the intricacies of provider documentation and thorough understanding of clinic workflows and efficiency managementStrong written and verbal English communicationStrong computer skills with the ability to learn and navigate new software quickly Ability to type 60 wpm preferred Ability to work in a HIPAA-compliant home office Ability to grasp new concepts quickly and efficiently and work as part of a team Excellent interpersonal skills including critical thinking and problem-solving Strong prioritization, organizational and multitasking skills with attention to detail Ability to function well in a fast-paced environment Strong desire to drive a paradigm change in clinical research conduct and improve patients’ lives Ability to work in alignment with clinic hours Generous, Curious & HumbleTravel RequirementsUp to 10% of time required to travel in role (out of 100%) International travel is not required at this timePay InformationThe expected hourly range for this position is $26.00 - $31.00. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. N-Power Medicine (NPM) offers equity at hire as well as a discretionary annual bonus which may be available based on Company performance.
