Job description


RxBenefits is looking for a designer to lead a UI/UX design team focused on improving digital products in a growing product organization. This designer will be a player/coach who will have a small team of designers reporting to him/her, and will lead the work on various highly visible products, in partnership with software engineers, UX research, strategists, product managers, and many other team members in a fast-paced and agile setting.

 

Focus: B2B experiences – Clients, Brokers, Internal Associates (+ Reporting)

 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of designers, including assigning work, assessing performance, hosting design reviews, and coaching them in both UX strategy and UX/UI design
  • Work with other leaders within the product organization to provide UX strategy and vision within the various products we are building and supporting
  • Manage the intake to the remainder of the UX/UI team, and prioritize based on business value 
  • Collaborate with engineering, product and business teams to inform intuitive and engaging experiences
  • Create frameworks, conceptual diagrams, user flows, wireframes, detailed visual mockups and prototypes to communicate innovative product ideas, working within cross-functional teams
  • Create prototypes that showcase multiple design concepts quickly, with an understanding of what customer and business problems they solve
  • Drive design solutions based on user needs, business goals and technical constraints for each product 
  • Leverage service blueprints to capture and bring together ‘front-stage’ and ‘back-stage ‘experience
  • Execute all design stages from concept to development
  • Evaluate user feedback and iterate design and concept based on insights gained from feedback 
  • Influence the roadmap for research initiatives, product development and feature development
  • Contribute in the development of design guidelines to create consistent experiences across the user journey 
  • Scope requests, develop and communicate a level of effort, and plan work to be done in a dynamic team environment 

 

Requirements

  • 10+ years of demonstrated UX strategy and UX/UI design work experience
  • Portfolio of past design work
  • Experience managing a team of designers 
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Expertise in wireframe tools and design tools, including Figma 
  • Excellent visual design skills
  • Experience working in an agile development process 
  • Experience designing B2C and B2B experiences 

 

Preferred Experience

  • Healthcare knowledge and experience
  • Experience creating or launching new products or solutions
  • Development with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
  • Creation of accessibility solutions that adhere to WCAG guidelines

Based on relevant market data and other factors, the anticipated hiring range for this role is $132.000 to $165,000 annually. Final compensation rates will be determined based on various factors, including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, and internal equity considerations. This role is also short-term incentive eligible. Incentive amounts will vary by individual and business goals.
