The Accounting Manager Role

As an Accounting Manager at Peregrine, you will be at the forefront of our financial operations, ensuring our books are precise, compliant, and optimized for growth. You’ll take ownership of all accounting and bookkeeping processes, prepare accurate financial reports, and contribute to strategic financial planning. This role is pivotal in driving process improvements, maintaining compliance, and delivering actionable financial insights that empower leadership and cross-functional teams. You will thrive in this role if you are a meticulous and proactive accountant who excels in bringing clarity to complexity and delivering results in a fast-paced environment.

About You

You take a proactive lens of ownership across all financial systems by delivering high-quality work without requiring constant oversight.
You are deeply versed in accounting best practices, with a strong command of general ledger management, financial reporting, and compliance.
You approach challenges with enthusiasm, ensuring your financial expertise supports the success of the entire organization against their most critical goals.
You bring order to undefined processes in ambiguous environments, devising and implementing effective solutions to streamline operations.
You are meticulously detail-oriented and have an unwavering commitment to precision, quickly identifying and addressing discrepancies in financial data.
You can effectively communicate complex financial data into clear, actionable insights for leadership and cross-functional teams.

What We Look For

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Active CPA license in California or substantially equivalent CPA license
5+ years of experience in accounting, with demonstrated expertise in managing bookkeeping processes, financial reporting, and compliance.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Xero, QuickBooks, NetSuite) and advanced Excel skills.
Experience managing accounts payable (AP) accounts receivable (AR) processes to optimize cash flow.
Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements and tax filings.
Exposure to startups in high-growth environments is strongly preferred.
Located in San Francisco, hybrid work is acceptable.

Salary Range: $150,000 - $190,000 Annually + Benefits + Equity (if applicable) + Bonus (if applicable)
