Description
The Minnesota Department of Information Technology Services (MNIT), partnering with the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH), is seeking a team of two (2) staff augmentation resources to plan for and support migration efforts from the State's current immunization information system (IIS) to a newly developed system. Services will include planning for communications, staffing, data migration, training, and a migration schedule, as well as other related support duties. The development of the new IIS is not within the scope of this engagement.
The Minnesota Immunization Information Connection (MIIC) is the statewide IIS that stores electronic immunization records for Minnesota health care providers, schools, and the public. MIIC combines the immunizations that a person has received into a single record, even if the immunizations were given by different healthcare providers. MIIC contains about nine million client records, representing more than 129 million immunizations.
