Position Overview
We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented
Regional Estimator to join our growing team. As a
Regional Estimator, you will be responsible for reviewing and interpreting inspection data provided by our field team, then converting this information into clear, comprehensive, actionable scopes of work. You’ll collaborate closely with project managers, field staff, property managers, and other internal teams to ensure that all project requirements are properly documented and estimated. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced estimator with strong attention to detail and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Review and analyze field inspection reports to understand project scope, site conditions, and necessary repairs or actions.
- Create detailed and accurate scopes of work based on inspection findings, ensuring all tasks, timelines, and material requirements are clearly outlined.
- Work closely with the field team, project managers, and other stakeholders to clarify project requirements and resolve any discrepancies in field reports.
- Collaborate with the project management team to estimate labor, materials, and equipment needs, ensuring accuracy and cost-effectiveness.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, codes, and best practices to ensure all scopes of work comply with relevant regulations.
- Assist in preparing cost estimates and budgets for upcoming projects.
- Track project changes and adjustments, updating scopes of work and estimates as needed.
- Contribute to process improvements to streamline the scope creation and estimation process.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an estimator or in a similar role, with a focus on creating scopes of work and interpreting inspection reports.
- Strong understanding of field inspection procedures, site assessments, and project planning.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify and address discrepancies in inspection reports.
- Familiarity with RenoWalk, HappyCo or other field inspection softwares for estimation, project management, or field reporting.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience in the SFR turn and renovation industry is highly desirable.
- A background in project management or construction-related certifications (e.g., PMP, LEED, etc.) is a plus.
