Job description

What’s the Opportunity

DoneDeal.ie is Ireland's largest online car marketplace, with 90% of all car dealerships in Ireland advertising on our platform and reaching over 1.5m users monthly. At DoneDeal our mission is to make buying and selling simple for everyone. We do this through constant innovation and building deep relationships with our car dealer partners

We’re on the lookout for an experienced and accomplished strategic Senior Product Manager to join our DoneDeal Product Team. In this position, you’ll play a pivotal leadership role, shaping the future of DoneDeal’s car marketplace and creating outstanding experiences for our users. Your mission will be to grow the number of cars sold on DoneDeal, demonstrating product strategies that align with our objectives to drive both user satisfaction and business growth.

As a senior member of our team, you’ll own the end-to-end product lifecycle—from ideation to execution—fostering a collaborative approach across Design, Engineering and Marketing, and Commercial to build products our users love. Reporting to the Head of Product, you will be responsible for identifying new opportunities for innovation, managing complex product areas, and delivering measurable results on high-visibility projects that redefine DoneDeal’s platform and the car-buying experience in Ireland.

Our team thrives on outcomes, innovation, and continuous improvement. We’re seeking someone with a sharp commercial acumen and an entrepreneurial spirit—an individual who can spot untapped opportunities and has the drive to transform them into successful, user-centric products.

What will I be doing

  • Defining Product Vision & Strategy: Develop and communicate a well-defined product vision and strategy that aligns with business goals and drives commercial success in Motors. Identify areas for innovation, user growth, and revenue generation.

  • Commercial Focus: Balancing the needs of our users and commercial insight to create products that drive business outcomes. Understand market trends, business performance, and competitive positioning to ensure your products deliver user and commercial value.

  • Identifying & Solving User Problems: Leverage feedback from our users, market research and competitor analysis to uncover problems and opportunities for us to solve through tooling (e.g. Hotjar, Survey Monkey, User Testing and other applicable tools. Translate these insights into innovative product features and improvements that delight our users.

  • Data-Driven Product Decisions: Use data to make product decisions, through tools such as Google Analytics, Tableau, and SQL to optimise product performance, test hypotheses, and deliver maximum impact.

  • Entrepreneurial Approach: Be a proactive problem solver with an inquisitive nature. Spot opportunities, build strong cases for new product investments, and bring a creative and entrepreneurial spirit to how we approach product development.

  • Collaborating with Cross-Functional Teams: Lead collaboration with our partners across Engineering, Design, Commercial, and Marketing to ensure seamless product delivery. Develop strong relationships and be the product expert in all relevant discussions.

  • Managing Product Backlog & Roadmap: Own and prioritise the product backlog, balancing short-term user needs with long-term strategies. Ensure features are clearly defined, scoped, and delivered on time.

  • Delivering Outcomes & Measuring Success: Define, track, and report on important metrics and outcomes for your products. Continuously iterate based on performance data and user feedback to optimise growth and user happiness.

  • Driving Go-to-Market Strategies: Work with marketing and commercial teams to craft effective go-to-market strategies that maximise product adoption, customer engagement, and commercial returns.

  • Mentoring: Demonstrate leadership and mentorship to other product managers and cross-functional teams, supporting a culture of innovation, accountability, and excellence.
