We are seeking experienced legal and judicial contract professionals with robust expertise in transcribing depositions and hearings. This opportunity is entirely remote, allowing for flexibility and independence as an Independent Contractor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accurately process audio recordings, producing verbatim transcripts of depositions, hearings, and other judicial proceedings.
  • Strictly adhere to established style guides, ensuring high-quality outputs.
  • Exhibit meticulous attention to detail while transcribing content, demonstrating familiarity with legal terminology.

Required Skills

  • Proven experience in court reporting, scoping, or legal transcription is essential.
  • Exceptional listening and literacy skills, including proficiency in comprehension, spelling, and grammar.
  • Strong ability to meet deadlines and adhere to client-specific style guides.
  • Capable of collaborating effectively in a remote environment.
  • Typing proficiency with speed and accuracy is required.
  • Comfortable handling sensitive audio/text content.
  • Must pass a background check.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology is crucial.
  • Court reporting students are welcome to apply.
  • This position is not available to residents of Massachusetts or California.
