Job description

Job Mission

As the Head of Carbon Sales, you will develop partnerships with clients to achieve their ESG goals by supporting Terraformation’s mission. You’ll meet with sustainability leaders, Fortune 100 companies, and global impact funds to finance restoration projects through the purchase of carbon credits.

Location: Remote; US preferred

Salary: $120,000 - 150,000, plus equity (depending on location and experience)


Responsibilities

Sustainability Partnerships
• Engage key buyers and partners to understand their climate goals and show them how to achieve them
• Educate corporate leaders and individuals on the benefits (and risks) of nature-based carbon removal projects
• Represent Terraformation at industry events, highlighting the work done by us and our partners
• Keep detailed notes on the status of partnerships, deals and accounts
• Continue to manage and foster partnerships

Lead Cross-Functional Collaboration
• Work with marketing, legal, and finance as part of a deal team
• Provide the project development and software teams with customer feedback to improve their work



Minimum Qualifications
  • 5+ years of experience in business development, specifically as an early member of a high performing sales team
  • Recognized as a leader with a proven track record of achieving success among a team in complex sales environments
  • Exceptional negotiation skills with the demonstrable ability to forge partnerships with senior executive stakeholders
  • Strong pipeline management and excellent at follow ups
  • Familiarity with nature-based carbon solutions, particularly in forest-based projects
  • Fluent with modern sales tools, like CRMs (we use HubSpot) and notetakers
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills, capable of effectively conveying technical and complex topics
