Job description

The Company

Dexcom Corporation (NASDAQ DXCM) is a pioneer and global leader in continuous glucose monitoring (CGM). Dexcom began as a small company with a big dream: To forever change how diabetes is managed. To unlock information and insights that drive better health outcomes. Here we are 25 years later, having pioneered an industry. And we're just getting started. We are broadening our vision beyond diabetes to empower people to take control of health. That means personalized, actionable insights aimed at solving important health challenges. To continue what we've started: Improving human health.

We are driven by thousands of ambitious, passionate people worldwide who are willing to fight like warriors to earn the trust of our customers by listening, serving with integrity, thinking big, and being dependable. We've already changed millions of lives and we're ready to change millions more. Our future ambition is to become a leading consumer health technology company while continuing to develop solutions for serious health conditions. We'll get there by constantly reinventing unique biosensing-technology experiences. Though we've come a long way from our small company days, our dreams are bigger than ever. The opportunity to improve health on a global scale stands before us.

Meet the team:

We are seeking an innovative and strategic Senior Product Manager to lead the evolution of Dexcom's wearable hardware platforms while spearheading early-phase innovation and identifying future growth opportunities. This role will go beyond hardware development, uncovering new market opportunities, and driving exploratory initiatives that align with Dexcom's mission to redefine health monitoring.

The ideal candidate is a visionary thinker with a deep understanding of hardware, technology trends, and customer needs. This role requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to translate strategic objectives into actionable development plans, identify and validate new opportunities, and ensure alignment with Dexcom's long-term goals.

Where you come in:

  • Strategic Leadership: Define the strategic vision for emerging platforms and early-stage innovation, including hardware, software, and ecosystem integration. Identify and advocate for new growth opportunities and technologies to expand Dexcom's presence in health monitoring and adjacent markets.

  • Innovation Pipeline Development: Partner with R&D, advanced technology, and external innovators to explore, evaluate, and validate novel ideas and solutions. Lead feasibility assessments and early-phase projects, guiding concepts from ideation through proof-of-concept.

  • Roadmap Ownership: Develop and maintain multi-year roadmaps for emerging hardware and sensor platforms, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and market trends. Incorporate cross-functional inputs, including user insights, market dynamics, and engineering capabilities, into roadmap decisions.

  • Opportunity Identification: Collaborate with market research and user research teams to identify unmet needs and validate market opportunities. Conduct competitive analysis and assess adjacent markets to define strategic areas for expansion.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Act as a key connector across engineering, design, marketing, and business units to align platform development and innovation efforts. Foster strong partnerships with corporate strategy and advanced technology teams to drive future-focused initiatives.

  • Business Case Development: Craft compelling business cases and narratives to support early-stage concepts and platform investments. Communicate the value of proposed innovations to senior leadership and stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment.

  • Execution Oversight: Lead the initiation and execution of platform projects, ensuring timely progression and stakeholder alignment. Drive the integration of market feedback, technical constraints, and business objectives throughout the development process.

What makes you successful:

  • Proven experience in product management, including hardware development, early-phase innovation, or adjacent technologies.

  • Strong ability to balance long-term strategic thinking with practical execution of projects.

  • Demonstrated success in identifying and validating new business opportunities.

  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with a track record of influencing cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.

  • Technical acumen, with an understanding of emerging technologies and their potential to drive platform innovation.

  • Experience with user-centric design, market research, and building business cases in highly regulated industries.

  • Knowledge of high-volume manufacturing processes and a strong grasp of platform scalability challenges.

What you’ll get:

  • A front row seat to life changing CGM technology. Learn about our brave #dexcomwarriors community.

  • A full and comprehensive benefits program.

  • Growth opportunities on a global scale!

  • Access to career development through in-house learning programs and/or qualified tuition reimbursement.

  • An exciting and innovative, industry-leading organization committed to our employees, customers, and the communities we serve.
